Mina Mermoud

Of Swiss and Japanese origin, Mina discovered the sanshin and traditional singing during a university stay in Okinawa. Since then, she has developed her musical skills as a self-taught musician and collaborates with other artists on composition, studio and stage projects in London, Paris and Okinawa. She participated in the recording of Uchina Love Song featuring 6 Okinawan minyo singers and composed for a contemporary dance piece in collaboration with Chûkyô University in Nagoya. Now based in Geneva, she shares her passion for Okinawan music with the Utakiambi duo.
